Well they usually locate in industrial buildings which means rent per square foot can be under a dollar a month. And energy where some miners are at is 7 cents per kilowatt hour. So the things you are talking about might add $.25/hr we

Or people just aren’t reporting crime because at this point, in many places, it’s fruitless. I know I don’t report crime anymore, got robbed in Seattle recently, didn’t bother calling it in.

The only way to that Sinclair refinery is to cross tribal land. This will probably shift those loads to the Phillips and BP refineries up in Ferndale. Imagine a 3200 foot stretch of rail way costing you $400 million because you just couldn’

I didn’t know they made these models, a good friend works on DoD research and all of his laptops have had the cameras rendered useless with a Dremel. I guess they have a valid excuse for not turning on cameras during zoom calls

Yes I do in fact read those things, every VP or above that I know does too. A meeting covers high points that doesn’t mean you don’t have to do your homework. Trust but verify.

Maybe the folks at these companies writing the corny AI that bans people for posting pictures of cups and flowers, are the same ones getting kickbacks for fixing the problem? I’m sorry, I just can’t help but be cynical about this. These pla

Math doesn’t do “kinda”. If you are paying $100 for something, and then it is $150, that’s is a 50% increase and is an undeniable fact.

Also, can you show me any public pricing that is 100x cheaper than AWS? With same QOS! Or are you just throwing numbers around?

Agreed, I guess my point in my original comment is; yes, bandwidth is cheap but you aren’t going to compete at any scale hosting at OVH as was proposed. And you’ll need a lot more than cheap VMs too.

So you can piggy back on the CDNs that do the same until you can afford to do so, with the same performance. This isn’t a privilege only given to those cloud providers, anyone with a checkbook and a pulse can do it.

But anyone doing things at great scale, isn’t going with OVH. You could use it as an origin I goes but you’d still need CDN for decent content delivery.

Would you do research on something that could get you a prison sentence for researching it? And that’s why the war on drugs is inhibiting the subject. Most facilities aren’t willing to go through the process to get permission.

One time in about 8th grade we had a cap gun fight around a school around dusk. It didn’t end well when a person driving by saw flashes, heard bangs and kids yelling at each other. The local police showed up, sirens blazing and couldn’t fig

Interesting, I know this is possible on a few other blockchains as well. I was asked to write code to front run trades on one of them, but laughed and turned it down. Seemed like it would end up something like this article.

The big telcos ignored us so we took it into our own hands. Had it been a bigger market I’m sure they would have lobbied our local ISP out of existence. They still do some questionable marketing around here.

We’ve had symmetrical 1gb fiber owned and installed by our public utilities for almost two decades here in central Washington. Was $80 a month until a year or two ago, then it went down to $60.
