Certainly not inline with OP’s wishes, I read Beowulf every day from the time my daughter was born until she was 2 at which point she preferred the adventures of Fone Bone, his cousins, and their friend Thorn. I was given the advice of some

OP suggested that they are unused because of the awkward interface but I find that if you were taking notes in text about a release, you can easily pipe those notes to Git Notes on commit. This seems easy to me. Am I missing something?

The biggest problem there is that several browsers don't want to remember your response of "No" for more than one day. They want you to be constantly tracked. I'd like to be able to tell all browsers, never track my loca

Not sure about OP but I have all manner of blues and jazz recordings unavailable via streaming. There are also lots of obscure Japanese game and rock recordings that aren't in Apple or Spotify though to Spotify's credit, they have

correct. but it's also a management system so perhaps they only want a files system? no idea why more don't use zfs. especially after the auto expansion update earlier in the year.

I spent 6 years in algo trading. I think that the market is a thing people call the US stock market and it’s 98% machine traded volume. Whenever I hear people talking about their alpha on an equity I assume it’s either insider trading or ig

Loved Andor. Unlikely Gilroy would do more Star Wars and if he did, he probably wouldn’t be given another $650M for a side character. Season 2 was $290 and that was after their budget was capped by Iger, they tried to spend more. Source: h

According to Kernighan in UNIX: A History and a Memoir, the Unix team was constrained with regards to hardware capital at the time of Unix's creation. The Multics team got to use a fancy GE-645 (36-bits!) while the Unix team had to beg

Fine print: The truck in the link is only $20K after government subsidies/rebates. So if the government gives my tax dollars to buyers of this truck, then it will cost $20K.

Serenity is an amazing accomplishment. It’s odd to me though because I always hated the windows interface, even 3.11. It seems a lot of modern Linux desktops (I know serenity isn’t Linux) try to emulate the feel of modern windows but it end

In my opinion, truenas is already caught up if you understand hardware and networking basics. The more advanced you are, the more likely truenas is right for you until you’re eventually ready for a proper zfs+bsd. The other nice thing about

A little strange you’d even want to be in a CS program if you didn’t understand files. I recently heard they stopped teaching C in some of the more well known CS programs too.

They don’t allow any search engine in safari now that apple has become an ad network. This is why there’s a weird workaround for Kagi. The search for pay deals are the priority. For those on Mac devices, Orion is excellent now imo.

LLMs tend to be a hammer in search of a nail when it comes to documents that have imagery. We decided on CV models which results in a high 90s midpoint for the docs our customers care about. If you can afford to go with a cv pipeline, it c
