Julian is still my favorite book and Creation is a wonderful read. He understood how man worked very well. Lapham is sorely missed as well.

Mac-Like is quite the stretch. I’ve always found KDE to be the least attractive desktop environment. It’s like the devs spent a decade copying windows and then finally realized that was a mistake and now it’s in sort of a limbo where it loo

Not during batting. For pitching changes they do and pitching changes are more frequent now that starters “only” pitch 100 pitches or less. Time between innings seems to have a higher ad load though it’s inconsistent from what I can tell de

neocities.org for http is nice, gopher sphere is still a thing, Gemini is pretty cool. The old web is still around and pretty fun to surf. Recommend Lagrange.

I still attend a lot of minor league games. I sit close and watch every pitch, a habit I developed growing up in a family full of minor and even major league umps. It’s a lovely way to spend a summer evening. Sadly minor league numbers are

Exciting! I am consistently blown away by the talent of the ffmpeg maintainers. This is fairly hard stuff in my opinion and they do it for free.

Love this and might downgrade (upgrade?)from Mojave which is when I stopped upgrading the Mac OS. Apple was still a computer company before Mojave instead of a bank wrapped in an ad network. Or is it an ad network wrapped in a bank? I can’t

We recently replaced Oracle financials for two of our customers-mid size manufacturers doing around $10B/yr in revs. We’re pretty small so grateful they trust us with that level of work.
