Hate to take the SEC’s side, but once Coinbase started trading DOGE, they lost the moral high ground.

This is cool. Would love a system like home assistant w/ little blueprints that you could add. For example maybe you want to track your location and have that get defined automatically, i.e. anytime I visit the coffee shop, I’m working

Does anyone know if the firefighter’s blood/plasma is disposed of? Or can it be treated in some way so it’s usable?

A good xeri-landscaper will be respectful of existing trees in the yard. In fact their design will be anchored around those trees that will be kept.

“Among participant with three meals per day, a meal interval of ≤4.5 hours in two adjacent meals was associated with higher all-cause mortality.” So people who ate three meals a day ALSO fared poorly? Am I reading that right?

My thought as well. People with ADHD will appreciate the experiment. Productivity tools may help some people, but there’s something about having people in the room that greatly amplifies productivity for me.

Seems like an edge case that Apple can solve by comparing phone behavior on a ski lift vs that of a car. There’s gotta be some patterns in the data that are distinctly skier behavior. However if they want to help those skiers that are truly

Kottke.org is on a very small list of sites that I will subconsciously type into the browser when bored. I wish he would team up with a sales guy or maybe patio11 so the site could make more money. Seems like it’s often teetering on the bri

Yeah I’ve done extensive work on the house and anywhere that’s original is in great shape. All the wood is old growth. It had termite damage at one point but the termites only ate areas where newer (lesser quality) wood was used. Heck, even

Yeah this was the next best option. But I didn’t want to spend any time on the roof and my ladder doesn’t go high enough so went with magnets. Also I wasn’t crazy about having hooks up there all year round, even though I would be the only p

Confirmed, 1908 craftsman :) The roof is 20 years old, maybe that’s when the switch to aluminum started?

Splitting the wire is safe if you’re careful but no it’s not code lol. And it’s just one hook at the peak of the roof but it might be possible w/o it. I didn’t need any hooks.

My issue with those is you probably still need a ladder to place them. My family has a history with ladder accidents so I wanted to avoid that haha.

My wife went to NYU and they had a fire drill early that morning. Some firefighters were there. Who knows how many of those guys died later that day.

Politicians are the worst at abusing email. I donated once to Obama in 2008 and now I can’t stop getting emails and texts from dozens of other democratic candidates.
