I checked out Columnist and it looks pretty awesome! I was trying to look at the Github project page but it doesn't look like it's posted yet. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses!

I'd be interested to hear more about the Kinect/Arduino video recording platform. We are always looking at better ways of capturing and storing video archives for later use internally.

I wonder if GoDaddy's WHOIS server is just applying rate limiting. I suspect their transfers are spiking after the SOPA aftermath. Namecheap's servers might have been sending a fairly consistent level of WHOIS queries that would not be anom

On a compromised system you can't trust any file stored on the system. Be it text log files or binary log files. The person who compromised the system will just dump the entire binary store instead, which is normally what happens to text lo

Try adding the -k parameter to ab to use keep alive requests and see if you notice an uptick. If you a generating a new session on each request it doesn't matter if you used the SSL session caching or not in Nginx.
