I may be an outlier but I never bother with the reddit front page - I go direct to specific subreddits and read them one at a time.

They may have simply been intending to be relatively formal as a mark of respect. (there's enough language and culture dependencies in how one decides such things that 'may' is very much load bearing in that sentence, mind) C

Given the higher TPS I think you'd be better conceptualising it as "CPU utilisation" rather than "CPU load."

It could likely have been better phrased but I found it more pointed than aggressive. There've been quite a few postgres forks that have either died or stayed based on 7.x versions and when you're replacing the entire storage engi

Oooh, the here string reads nicely to me and would require less thought about quoting/interpolation choices which is a win on its own even if it still takes me multiple attempts to remember to do that. Much appreciated.

OpenSSH has already added plenty of extensions and the world seems to be fairly comfortable with using quite a few of them - for backwards compatibility reasons they probably can't change the current behaviour by default for -everybody

While I think 'pl' and 'pls' for print line and print lines is probably an excellent choice overall I can't help but see 'pls' and try and parse it as an abbreviated INTERCAL.

In general, in a discussion about or adjacent to programming language design, people will tend to expect 'list' to be used to mean a data structure that behaves like a singly linked list ala lisp's cons cell based list data s

C arrays are syntax sugar over pointer arithmetic and defining up a handful of FORTH words to do the same thing (plus a bump allocator) is sufficiently trivial that putting it in core would be weird, because -in general- FORTH programs are
