What do you consider neurotic in a cat? Have you known many people who own outdoor cats? It's a rare story that doesn't end with "then an asshole in a truck ran him down", "I think a coyote got him", "I t

Ok, don't have outdoor cats because they live short lives with high risk of dying painfully. They definitely do stalk feeders and add to the stressors already in place for bird species. More than one thing can contribute to the reduct

Not my Donald Rumsfeld. I feel like writing quote-on-quote takes away the ability of non-native speakers to search for and learn the basis of the idiom. I really don't see how it would be more understandable than just typing "quo

Why not? If you've got a hare to butcher, you'd likely want to split it. You could leave the carcass whole and roast it, but that's only one of the many ways to use the animal. If you want to argue over details that make li

Cormorants as well. Very cool birds. I assume Anhingas are the same, but cormorants are less buoyant than most waterfowl because they need to dive deep from the water's surface. When they're just floating, you don't see muc

That's presumably the sign outside the church of the pastor they interviewed. He puts up wooden crosses for each homicide. Makes sense if you've read the article.

I didn't find out you could make a grilled cheese with mayo until a few years ago. My husband still won't even try it. In my region, I doubt that most people would be comfortable using mayo instead of butter.
