I'm not at all conflicted about this. Obviously CSAM is bad and should be stopped, but it is inevitable this new feature will become a means for governments to attack material of far more debatable 'harm'.

This author is almost as skilled as the staff at my local AMC Theatre, where I was a bystander to a woman getting denied a beer on account of her Washington, D.C. driver's license not being a "state-issued ID".

Weird... I've had two generations of iPads with cellular, and Signal has worked for me, in linked mode, on both devices (both with and without a SIM present). Maybe this is a bug that only affects certain models or something?

This is really cool. So it looks like the Winterbloom module is taking a "pitch CV" input in the range of 0-6V... what would typically generate this input in this type of setup? And what do all those other modules on the rack do?

I agree we need humans in the loop for things like the administration of justice. But this is a case where humans _were_ in the loop yet acted like automatons themselves. They failed to apply the baseline level of judgment that would have s

At least SLS puts its solid rocket boosters well below the crew capsule, though. So compared with the Shuttle, there's some nonzero possibility of safe abort in the event of an SRB explosion.
