I run my local LLMs with a seed of one. If I re-run my "ai" command (which starts a conversation with its parameters as a prompt) I get exactly the same output every single time.

I think if you actually talked to Trump supporters you'd find we're not particular fans of Israel either.

It's a shame there's not a more substantial colony in space than the ISS with its own stock of throwaway microcontrollers and paper. If there were someone could make a few transmitters with paper airplanes, fling them out on the n

The non-music part of YouTube is pretty obviously a combination of education + parasocial stuff. That's the product they want to present. The autogenerated stuff hurt the quality.

Exactly this. Apple has to kill their baby if they want to continue and they don't have a leader with the will to do that.

Someone should let the shareholders and whoever writes Apple's quarterly reports know then.

The problem will come when LLM driven assistants become more popular. There's no way to have a nice one on iOS without Apple giving up more control than they're willing to.

As far as hosted models go it's the best value for your money. About half of Americans also personally align with its politics (I guess everyone has forgotten some of the alignment issues Gemini and OpenAI have had) so that's not

Is it simple to guess? I always assumed if you went too hard with those answers they'd assume you were lying and reject you. Maybe this is why I never got the mcdonalds call back last time I was layed off.

Not necessarily. Separating the battery, not having to deal with the OS killing inference because of memory pressure (which will be a real problem), being able to schedule tasks (a la Grok), and having more freedom to let the LLM actually m

OpenRC is great, there's just no flashy marketing behind it or team of consultants pushing it. EDIT: Heh. At least I can debug a shell script, I can't debug a config file. I think this is a fundamental disagreement many people hav

I think even for new people the systemd configs are much more complex (and the APIs are certainly much more complex) than the libc ones which worked well (often better.) The problem is that almost nothing in Systemd shares theory with the r
