I don't know if you're aware but y2k was almost 30 years ago. My 2006 Corolla was going pretty strong up until a few years ago.

If that were the case housing would be cheap. It may very well also be that the way we're organizing people means they can't live densely and that's why it's full. Regardless it's full enough that there's almos

Most office environments seem to be using OSX for their client OS these days. It's just much more behaved OOTB. The only thing people really need Windows for now is the domain controllers and goofy legacy embedded stuff.

People don't seem to talk about Watt hours per mile much but when you're generating the power yourself it really matters. Tesla's model 3 is AFAIK one of the more efficient EVs and gets ~260 Watt hours per mile. With solar a

Yeah I just have a hard time feeling sympathetic for Apple. They played the game pathologically and these are the consequences. If they wanted sympathy they should have tried to get along with everyone else.

iPhone exploits are cheap enough that you don't need to be a state actor to have access to them. Heck the app store review process hardly even instruments the apps so you can just ship semi targeted malware that way.

Companies blow money on bad ideas all the time. Middle managers love analytics because it lets them win internal arguments, not because it actually solves problems.

"Measuring" people for the sake of insurance just sounds hard. Partly because people are complex but also because people just hate being measured.

Many users tend to be pretty vocal when changes break things they like, you don't need to spy on them for that. Mail readers > analytics frameworks.

CDNs are usually one of the more expensive things you can build, there's a reason most are run by large public companies. Those are probably near the top of the list of things you don't want to blindly trust an LLM with building.
