As the site shows, Free File Fillable Forms is available to everyone, but it's not as easy as the step-by-step wizards of TurboTax and TaxAct. There's manual arithmetic involved, following the PDF instructions, looking through tax

I think of this like sticking with RHEL 5 (still supported/updated but barely) and expecting to have full support for modern hardware--don't count on it, and don't expect it to work forever.

I believe the problem isn't the CPU itself, but drivers for the rest of the platform. Windows 7 doesn't have support for USB 3, I2C, secure boot, I2S audio, and lots of other new technologies. Keeping drivers and BIOS maintained (

That is true, however the only 3rd party apps allowed on CarPlay right now are music apps (using a very basic hierarchical/tree API). The lack of CarPlay support isn't Google/Waze's fault. It's also worth noting tha

Although if GVT-d gives the GPU fully over to the VM, which GPU will OS X itself be using? In the high-end 15" MBP, I suppose OS X could switch to the discrete GPU and let the VM use Iris Pro, but it's not a great solution and wou

These are all good points. Google clearly wants to build and maintain an internal hardware development team, and it might be easier to ship this not-ideal device rather than risk a mass exodus of the hardware team they've been building

Fascinating story, and explains why the product is so odd and rushed. It raises the question: why did this ship at all? Why waste marketing dollars, muddle your overall branding/product lines (Nexus vs. Pixel), and compete with your ow

There is virtually no Verizon wireline presence (i.e. ex-GTE territory) in San Diego County, SD never had any chance of getting FiOS. See the map: ftp://ftp.cpuc.ca.gov/Telco/ILEC%20Territories%20in%20CA%202008.pdf I

I'm surprised that would be the case, at least by A/UX 3 the Sound Manager routines were re-routed to call into special A/UX implementations (which I assume wouldn't be disabling interrupts).

The project depends on reverse-engineering proprietary (if archaic) Apple hardware/software. Do you think Microsoft would/should allow their employees to contribute to Wine? Or Nintendo employees working on open-source emulators?

I don't know if outdated "RISC vs. CISC" thinking is what motivated Gruber's statement, but I think there are much more convincing ways to justify it. If I could change Gruber's statement, I would say that "The
