One thing i thought of and wanted to test: what if you yourself don't do any internet queries but someone on the same network as you does? I've had conversations with people, one time we were talking about a concert venue which i

The US had thousands of bots defending the Evo Morales Bolivia coup. Barely anyone in Bolivia speaks English.

Now that i think about it it wasn't a gui it was i think a tui and maybe an editor. it might be leo i was thinking of. I'm pretty sure it was leo. Sorry for not being clearer.

I think it was more programmer-centric than just organizing. It was for organizing code ideas too.

No it wasn't that. It was a standalone GUI program with a GUI that seemed non-modern but was useful.

Ok, you can argue that police have benefits in their work from unions similar to other public sector unions. I was being a bit snarky since police would be the people to carry out violent action against union activity. Police serve the inte

Maybe the case for many political matters but there are indeed many things which DO have broad political support that are not currently practiced by large corporations. A union might help for those cases.

Police aren't workers, they are something entirely different since they would participate in anti-union activity. What is wrong with teacher's unions?

Couldn't the union have some sort of democratic structure for deciding what political goals are popular and enforced? In that case it wouldn't really be any one person's political goals.

As others are stating, there is more to unions than pay and working conditions, so being privileged doesn't mean we shouldn't do it. What bullshit do you foresee?

I don't know. I like Wikileaks. I'm not convinced Assange's so-called crimes are the reason he is being detained. This type of thread always seems to be crawling with spooklikes aggressively defending the state.

Snowden was trapped in Russia after his passport was cancelled en route to Latin America. In any case the US government doesn't like whistleblowers so i don't understand the big deal with running away.

The line "The momentum of a photon (or anything else) is p = h/λ so, multiplying the above equation by h gives Δp.Δx > ~1" Multiplying both sides by h, should this read "Δp.Δx > ~h" or am i missing something?

I guess what i'm arguing is that if fire and mayhem was ongoing in the US in the form of a revolution my belief is that the system would shut it down in any way it could. I know social media stayed up during e.g. the Freddy Gray protes

Couldn't they just change the TOS to say something like you can't use apps to evade law enforcement, which they might do under pressure from the police unions?

Would you be upset if a US protesting app was removed? Do you think a protesting app would be allowed in the US if it was effective? (I'm genuinely asking because i don't think i have ever seen an effective protest app in the US)

I like DrRacket's debugger but i can only run it once on a large program! Even if i increase the memory i can only run it once. The second run results in strange behavior. Does anyone else have problems with DrRacket?
