I have a Performa 6115/CD sitting under a desk- I should fire it up and see if it still works. Was my main machine for a long while.

Potentially keeping AMD as a partner is graphics on the high end is a good point- i.e. iMac Pro/Mac Pro. But since its 99% likely that all the other Mac's will be SoC with no Windows driver support for any of the underlying silico

Yeah- you were generally standing still at best. The nice thing though is that as your apps (and OS) updated, you were continually getting 'free' speed boosts.

Considering that Adobe has been actively porting creative cloud programs to iPad, I'd say the opposite. They've already been optimizing the existing code base for ARM, maybe with a heads up from Apple that this would be a good pre

Compared to other x86 alternatives, historically true. Compared to Apple processors? Not so much. There isn't an Intel processor that is near the performance/watt in the iPad Pro, especially factoring in graphics performance.

The problem is that Apple has moved to a home-grown stack for it graphics and deprecated OpenGL and moved wholly to Metal. There is no way Apple would create a Windows driver for that custom silicon- it has always relied on AMD or Nvidia fo

The issue of course is that more regulation makes it that much harder for small business to hire and over time forces more and more of the economy and the labor force into the arms of big business.
