Yeah that really is a terrible decision. I have had two Bolts and they are wonderful cars, but I would not buy again if I couldn't use the phone integration. I don't really care how great their new stereo head is, cars last a long

You can turn of search suggestions if that's what you prefer. You can even have a dedicated search box instead of having address and search combined.

I think you can use control-enter to open a new tab instead. But with Firefox open right now I searched for several open things and it didn't offer to switch tabs. I've usually only seen that when searching tabs with % though.

I would be cautious but not overly concerned. The research consistently shows that layoffs are a negative for the company and should be a last-ditch effort to save the company, but it is likely a sign of a downward spiral. But being profita

Porter looks cool and I would love to not hand roll kubernetes stuff. But the pricing looks curious. Their "default infrastructure" is $300 a month set up in AWS plus usage costs on Porter. It's already 6x what I'm spend

I'm getting married next month, a relationship started from a date found in possibly the worst of all the apps (Match, if you can believe it). I dated for a lot of years and, despite having some positives outlined by this article, I wa

It's especially shameful that a large company like Reddit can't manage to.. do HTML right? It really doesn't take that much extra time to do the basics. They need buttons with _labels_. How did they not get sued already? Was

Maybe it's the zigbee integration? Several people mentioned it being unreliable here. I'm over here with my 5 year old z-wave set up wondering what the fuss is, because it's been super reliable for me. The only thing I can to

I think that part of this can be explained by the behavior of likes. If I like on Mastodon, I know that's not contributing to the algorithm and showing up in my friend's feed with my name on it. On Mastodon, if I enjoyed something

Table partitions work well for this, too. You would do your mass import in a table that would be less likely to affect prod queries. After import, then change the temp table to extend the parent. After that it is used for queries against th

I'm 6'0'' and the first comment I'd get on a first date was often, "oh wow, you're actually 6'0". Lying about it is so common that women simply assume the guy is shorter.

That appears to be in beta still? What store are you using with it? I'll keep an eye on it! But mobx does more than that, like a lot of component optimizations and utilities. It's been so good for so long, I'm not in a rush t

No rolling blackouts here. And prices have been falling. Most plans around here are paying $0.10496. I'm on a time schedule and do most of my charging at $0.07688. The price per kWh has been consistently falling. I think the GP is righ
