I wish I could wake up naturally, when I feel rested, but my 2 y.o. Won’t let me. Also, my wife is nuts and thinks it’s lazy to sleep past 7. I want to wake up at 9... but have to be up around 5:30-6 every day. Thing is, I’m self-employed a

I wish they would do this for politicians too. I see hundreds, possibly thousands of accounts spamming political propaganda garbage right at home. It would be great if Reddit did the same too. Thousands of sock puppet accounts on Reddit.

Nobody works harder than a Japanese worker. And Japan has government-administered “universal” healthcare. The idea that access to affordable healthcare makes people lazy requires mental gymnastics and total ignorance.

This speaks more to your country of origin than it does to universal healthcare.

It’s funny, I live in Japan where contrary to my experience in the states, I can go see a doctor any time - just walk in. No need for specialist referrals either. If doc says I need to see a specialist, I just walk in. US politics, specific

The problem is time. Or lack of it. We cannot afford for the markets to work things out for us. Sure, you can shift culture and behavior but that takes time that we do not have. It’s time for drastic policy change and swift global action.

Could be his attitude. The older we get, the more rigid we come across. I know I personally put up with a lot less shit than I used to, hence why I doubt many would want to work with me - and that’s fine by me.

Popular with dads? Really? I'd love to see some evidence. I actually though Pinterest died off because I haven't heard anything about it in a long time. There were times long ago where I'd search for some project inspiration,

YouTube recommendations feel like a direct impediment to democracy. When your recommendations consist of the same crap all the time, it may seem as though that stuff carries more weight than it really does. I wonder to what degree YouTube i

So many questions: 1. How did they get 150 satellites into low orbit? 2. Is it becoming a hazard to have all the satellites and space junk possibly making it difficult to launch anything down the road? 3. Aside from tracking the objects, ha

Same here. It seems the websites that show up top are become more and more spammy and less relevant to my query. I keep seeing all sorts of one sentence hipster 2.0 sites that want me to believe they are a credible source of information.

Too bad anyone can access your stamp if you simply lose it. When I first saw the stamp thing for myself, I couldn't fathom how anyone would consider that secure. Better than a signature? Maybe. But easily reproducible and too tangible

I was 200 lbs when I cut out sugar and complex carbs from my diet - no more pasta, potatoes, also no bread. I lost 20 lbs fairly quickly. For carbs I still ate sweet potatoes and brown rice. To fill some of the hunger from lower carbs intak

I was once told by someone who owns lots of guns that every time there is a mass shooting in US of A, the sales of weapons go through the roof. Apparently the fear of regulation triggers a buying spree. True or not, I found it interesting a

I worked as an IT tech in a school district with 9 buildings, each connected by directional antenna. The speed wasn't great but certainly usable enough, even for video. This was back in 2000 and the guy maintaining the network learned
