Do we know yet what the evolution and conditional-support mechanism is going to look like? Will there be "feature levels" like D3D, or ad-hoc independent extensions like interim GL, or some mix of the two? Now that basically all r

Not disagreeing, but the Cityscapes samples looked 100% photorealistic to me, whereas the Mapillary samples just looked different. Disclaimer: in the UK, so grey and murky == realistic.

Honestly, I don't see this as a problem any more. Litfic is as much a genre as SF, and just as an SF novel isn't going to win the Booker, a litfic novel isn't going to win the Hugo or Nebula. Yes, the Booker judges believe th

Call me cynical, but this report was commissioned back in July of last year. Releasing it today, when it's guaranteed to be eclipsed by dramatic local and by-election results here in the UK, has a bit of an odour to it. (The report has

It's not the default, but Rust absolutely allows dynamic linking [1]. For example, Bevy encourages building the engine as a dynamic library during development to improve iteration turnaround times for the app code [2]. [1] https:/

> liberal (as in right-wing) What the hell? These terms are in no way synonyms. You seem to be fairly extreme left, which is fine, but then labelling everyone to the right of you as "right-wing" is not a useful classification.

I didn't get the impression that individualism was the USA's problem here, so much as political tribalism. Mask-wearing seemed to get established very early on as a tribal marker, and everything else followed from that.

I dunno. It's all well and good having multiple "angles" on a given topic, but if a new user has no meaningful way of distinguishing between those angles then it's just going to be confusing and noisy for them. Self-writ
