Thanks for the pointer, but I'm afraid I have zero knowledge of ML and wouldn't be any help. I have to say I'm a bit sceptical that this approach can work purely based on win/loss conditions - an attacker victory in pa

Yeah, I did the same (VanillaJS) a couple of years back, and started thinking about implementing a computer opponent, but it's really not clear what the evaluation function should be.

It's an interesting game, mostly because unlike most modern games it's massively asymmetrical. Goals, strategies and attitudes are very different for the two players, and despite the numerical lopsidedness in pieces it's muc

WebGL as a proxy API is implemented by the browser, yes, but the thing it's proxying (the graphics driver) is well outside the sandbox and is arguably too complex to be secured by parameter validation and the like. If the driver has an

Is that an absolute decline now, or just relative? (I'm asking about usage, not sales - I know the latter have fallen off a cliff since Moore's Law topped out.)

Not GP, but I think the ossification of WebGL has little to do with security concerns and a lot to do with the fact that the GL model is a poor fit to the direction hardware has taken over the past couple of decades. Realistically, any succ

I'd think it would make sense to do this as an LLVM backend so that everyone could use it. This used to exist [1], but I don't think it's maintained, which suggests there wasn't much demand for it. [1] https://

If it's like previous times I've seen this, the ebooks themselves will still be DRM-free, HB just won't sell some of them to you i.e. they won't be included in the bundle you get.

Is UWP/Store actually taking off? I was under the impression that it was another flop. I run Windows at home, but wouldn't if it went Store-only. For me, an open platform is the only thing Windows had going for it.

I'm not sure how that helps with the problem we're talking about. The value proposition of something like TiddlyWiki is that your site is just a file . For local use you don't even need a webserver. Making Node or similar a
