Not all documents are books. And I'd appreciate it if you stated your criticism in a more civilized manner.

In the product of the singlehtml builder, you will have the entire document in one single DOM tree. For large documents, even modern browsers on a modern machine will be brought to its knees. Check out the CPython docs for example: https:&

I'm fully on board with the author's "I want to replace PDF" sentiment. It's true that running code in the document has some downsides, but the vast majority of people does it all the time in their browsers. And it

It would be great if there was an open CHM-like format that was supported by all major browsers. The nice thing about browsers is that everyone already got one installed. They can even open PDFs natively these days. Sadly, they cannot even

I know exactly what you mean. Recently I was on vacation in a country where a cab would take you through town for a price which would not be enough to get a taxi driver in my country to even start the engine. Of course some would charge you

One of the selling points of PDF is that it is a single self-contained file. I found this lacking in Sphinx and wrote an extension for it to zip and bundle the assets into a single HTML file: https://github.com/AdrianVollmer

Everybody knows it's wrong in the sense that Newton's theory is wrong, and that Einstein's theory is probably wrong. Models get refined in physics all the time, that's how it works. The BBT has a lot of issues in the det

Hey, you were the one that suggested that the BBT was invented to discredit religion. Stand by our word and explain how the pope is also somehow part of this grand conspiracy to discredit religion then.

Yes, until that discovery the consensus was pretty much that it could be either big bang or steady state. Penzias' discovery was a smoking gun that put all but the most stubborn critics (Fred Hoyle was arguably the most prominent) of t
