I think that people rushing to issue denunciations of Wikileaks and defences of the behaviour of diplomats would be better advised to wait and see what information these particular documents actually contain.

Nice, although I'm not sure that this method of navigation will catch on. You can also do this with stereo vision, although at a higher computational cost. For example, here's an overhead view of a point cloud from a stereo camera (Minoru

Right, and tablets generally. If a lot of ordinary users buy these or receive them as Christmas presents they may just conclude that tablets and/or Android are worthless and should be avoided in any future purchases.

Americans really should start a campaign against this kind of degrading treatment and make sure that it's stopped. It shows a profound lack of respect for human dignity. The video showing a child being molested by an airport security guar

It's only a dead end if you're assuming a situation where people would be doing this for long periods of time. If you're just switching viewports, changing the view of a CAD drawing or performing other infrequent tasks then this sort of us

Quantization is one possible way. Another would be transaction taxes. Whatever the mechanism chosen, the intention should be to maintain the financial system within a steady regime which optimises overall efficiency.

Unlikely. Very high speed trading of this kind is likely to lead to large uncontrolled fluctuations in the financial system, which is not efficient and results in boom and bust type behavior.

This article highlights something which I think will become a growing issue. Higher education is becoming prohibitively expensive for many young people, and often doesn't deliver (and isn't intended to deliver) the sort of training which e
