I'm so confused. Pretty much everything you describe is them making money. Would you rather them not be in business? Be a subscription browser? I don't understand.

Ironically, you are on a forum that bans people. I'd say HN is a pretty pleasant place to be.

Fair point, but it's always been this way. It's not new. FWIW, HN is my tech/business news source so I love it the way it is. https://news.ycombinator.com/front?day=2006-10-09

Man, I am glad they built this instead of them saying "Ah, load times are slow, scrap that idea." like it seems like a lot of people in this thread would do. Very very cool.

Not just Facebook that is structured like this. And as someone said, it's very public. You must be making investment decisions without looking at any corporate documents.

If someone views YOU as an unintelligent/incapabable person then they are at home because you look a certain way, do you really trust them to make unbiased decisions about your future at work? If you do, fair enough. I certainly don&#x

If the company describes itself as "cool" because they have pool tables, that's a great thing. It's signal that thats what "cool" is to them. Sounds like a job description that talked about not working in a cub

My first thought was that I didn't want people to walk around filming me everywhere and I come to the comments and the top one is someone advocating for just that. What a crazy world.

This is a good thing. There will be a smart kid who says "Why do I have to save a file, this should happen automatically and I shouldn't have to think about it" and they start a company and innovate on an inefficient process.

If it's for creators, you have a built in sales list. Go to all of your potential customers and send an IG, FB, Twitter, etc. and ask to talk to them. You probably wont get responses from people with 2M followers but thats not your tar

10 years / 7 or 8 projects is about 1.3 years on average. It takes a long time to build a company and a product as one person. Sounds like you have been giving up a bit prematurely. Or if you would like results in that time, make an MV
