I understand what you're saying. I just thing the world isn't so black and white. When you ask the idiot, or the smart person for that matter, a question, you have no idea if they are right or not. You only know after the fact whe

Error is acceptable in all things that don't need to be deterministic. Which is most thing in life. How do I discover a good career path? Why do you structure a repository of a program into folders? What is the best place to vacation?

This is a logical fallacy. If the are dangerous for one group there are dangerous for all groups, similar to how a bomb is just a dangerous tool no matter who welds it. You can make the argument that you "need the tool to fight back ag

Check out Bing Chat/Search. It's been doing this for "weeks" now. Also, GPT "search" is too slow for me right now. I could have had an answer on traditional search by the time the model outputs anything.

Nice job on the product. Same feedback as GP. I actually read this comment before I checked it out and still couldn't figure out step two. Had to come back and read your instructions again. I think it's probably related to what th

An end of the world newsletter seems pretty fringe to me. Or maybe I’m just out of touch with politics.

ChatGPT is not nearly as good of a product as what was demoed by Microsoft if you want to make that comparison. Not talking about LLMs/underlying model. I don’t think adobe makes their own either. Talking about the interface to it.

I wouldnt consider stable diffusion, mid journey and Open AI products. Little bit too low level, they seem to be more platforms that the products are built on. Not to say they aren’t amazing, just that the productized versions (one level up

Interesting that the large company AI products (this, Microsoft copilot, etc) are so much more compelling than any of the startups I’ve seen. Makes me think that we haven’t seen what true innovation looks like in this space. Right now, AI i

Very US centric point of view. If the teachers are fine, leave them be. If a place doesn't have the resources to hire said teachers, use tools that help. Or in the US, if teachers are that important, maybe give them more resources to d

Agree with all of your points. Side note, funny that (a) used to be how we would test for AGI (turing test) and now it's just "a problem with AI"

They are just so simple to me that the "magic" never comes into play. Just a function that gets called when something in an array is different between renders.

Didn't happen with Google maps. Mapbox is definitely not 1400% cheaper. And many many people use Google maps before and after the price change. So I would disagree on both points.
