Some of us have walked away from good gigs -- forfeiting ownership, abandoning products that we conceived, developed and lived and breathed -- all because someone in control started doing something evil. I have made a lot of mistakes in my

I thought his statement was over the top at first, but after I read the article I say good for him for standing up for what he thinks is right. We all know that this patent nonsense has got to stop. There is nobody building any app anywhere

I think a far more common problem is deciding which idea to pursue. It takes a lot of work, research, and magic to decide which one. Being able to work out the viability of 5 or 10 ideas with the resources of YC would be very compelling.

Seriously, no "PMT" in c# is listed? Am I missing something or do you guys need to calculate mortgage payments so often that it needs to be a built in function of a language? There are a couple of valid points in this article, the rest is h

All I can say is wow. Not from the ordeal in the article, but that anyone can not know who Network Solutions is and that "anybody but Network Solutions" is how GoDaddy became so big. Oh how soon the internets forget.

Do you feel guilty when you skip commercials on your TiVo? I don't, sorry. An ad on a page is no different than a billboard or some other passive advertising. I am not required to notice it.

Instapaper's response sounds sarcastic to me: While “Add URL” feature was implemented to help users of Instapaper, we now understand that it was wrong to simplify the lives of the users. I think they should have, at least, added an "in th

Can't help but feel some sympathy for him, but it's tempered by the fact that he doesn't see the big deal with attacking servers to bring down a company. Not even going into the whole part of flipping stolen websites and the app spam. Ethic

I have a very specific disagreement with this article. I believe the research is sound and reasonable for most apps, but in the case of ShareMouse, they are competing against an entrenched free product. I use Synergy, and there are some iss

You might be right, although I have seen the way some of the simpler electric cars connect power to wheel and I could see there not being a way, but hopefully the Tesla is more refined. It's interesting that they did not refute this untowab

Except we aren't talking about letting this car sit 10 years, try a few weeks or months, depending on the initial charge. If Adama had to plan for an FTL jump ever 33 days instead of 33 minutes, the Galactica crew wouldn't have been nearly
