I have been using Facebook for like +10years. Facebook used to be reference for speed and usability. I left it ~4 years ago. Last day I entered again for curiosity. It's so sad. Strange interface, slow, unresponsive. It's sad.

Those are desktop processors. Most applications won’t even use 64 cores. But I agree this is this future, but today faster single core will speed up your day a lot.

I'm no expert either, but is not very difficult. - They use webrtc to set-up a peer to peer connection between all the participantes (streamyard server is a participant of the call). (The browser takes care of all the hard part (encodi

There is absolutely no veil between the hypervisor and the guest virtual machines. Not in the EBS either. If they say they won't read your data, better trust them. If you don't, stay away from their datacenters. EDIT: fix typo.

Does anyone know if this has a published paper?

I agree with you. But what I'm focusing here is that although the paper uses high resolution cameras to retrieve identifiable images, one can may now use super-resolution to retrieve the same images from normal cameras.

Well, if this was not the Ai age, I would probably agree with you. But now we have super resolution and this papers can serve as a warning that now someone can recover the image, enhance it and use as evidence.

If that is a discarded lightsail, maybe it's payload is right now decelerating towards Sol. THAT would be something (pun intended).

Closer server means lower rtt. All things equal, this translates to a faster transmission.

Think about the path between sender and receiver as a pipe. You will have data inside de pipe all the time, the amount of it is a product of bandwidth an latency (pipe length), which is measured as RTT (round-trip time). The sender puts dat

The less time on the ground, more money a company makes. This probably is true on the air too, granted that you have a similar efficiency and fuel combustion.

Well, it's not adminless either, as AWS have lots of them keeping the hosts alive and running. But if you can ignore that, you can probably also ignore the fact that your code runs on a server.

If they need batteries, this cannot be forever. Not even close. Even less if they let the batteries deep-discharge, which dramatically decreases their lifespan.

Duolingo uses spaced repetition. It's like Anki, except that Duolingo will give you some time after you successfully remembered a word or expression in an answer. Don't know if that is your case, but if you get the "the cat i

This kind of packaging is very common in Brazil. People here certainly don't spend 80 years learning that. Instead, some days watching someone doing it is probably ok.

It looks like a good pricing model. To me it seems they correlate bandwidth usage with system usage and charge you using bandwidth as a surrogate of computing time, hardware and lahour (plus the bandwidth).
