Austin already has plenty of homeless people, and the #s are quite comparable to san jose for example - they are just more visible in the bay area due to lax rules for them (plus weather).

They are at the heart because it allows people to write code faster while being OK with the perf/mem hit. But in the end its always less efficient which is why you have to hand wave it away.

You do know the vdom eventually has to change the DOM right? In the end the vdom always will have to do more work than regular dom manipulations.

Another reason is that a lot of companies use Java 8 internally and it makes it easier to use your software if you support 8.
