Yep. Was going to say the same thing. IMO Sphinx and rst is a bad experience. Markdown _is_ simple—that’s what is great about it. I’m also a fan of languages that support markdown in comments/in-source-documentation (rust, elixir, etc.

There are many ways, but here is one: Read and lightly work through The C Programming Language (K&R). Code along with the book, don’t feel you have to really deep-dive anything. You don’t have to learn C well at this point. Just learn f

I would say yes, but I’m not a researcher and I could be wrong. However, given the current political, financial, and social climate it seems like a real possibility. E.g. “customers” become (or are already) so disillusioned with the promise

Maybe. But it (at least) feels like HN sets some different expectations upfront (e.g. not being able to edit a post after a certain amount of time). HN also has a pretty benign sign up process (i.e. relative to most sites, you don’t really

I have been thinking about solutions for a few months now. However, there doesn’t seem to be a solution that does not also create other problems (e.g. a system capable of detecting violent crime—or predicting it—is likely to encroach on pri

So a couple things. The community does have experienced devs. But the language is just fun and expressive to use. IMO all the “fighting with the borrow checker” stuff is overblown. If you do get some complaint from the compiler, it is usual

I’m currently reading through everything. It’s pretty cool, been seeing more and more stuff like this lately. It could serve as a great second or third project for someone learning rust and the rust-ecosystem.

Yeah, there is. In the oil industry (actually many jobs in the industry) there’s a job where you need only add and subtract, work odd hours, put yourself in no greater danger than delivering pizza except that you’ll pull $280k/year if

Right? I think it could be done. I’ve been talking to friends about this for a couple weeks now. I’m actually kind of interested in the people that have done “3000 applications etc etc.” The 100-300 applications are fairy common, but 3k? Al
