Alternative theory, it was simply a mistake. Party A explains how to send bitcoin to them but used a well known wallet address in their documentation/guide (Satoshi's). Party B didn't use Party A's address and committed

Is January 5th a day of relevance in Bitcoin's history? Could it be an homage of some kind?

I get it-- that will enable you to resolve the clash (or at least make it possible to detect and do something about it). However, it does feel messy/ugly when compared to how HTMX is generally portrayed (do some action, an HTML fragmen

I'm in love with the idea of making games-- it got me into programming. It's an absolute blast to do. There's nothing quite like grabbing SDL2 and going HAM for a few days. Some of my fondest memories are with lazy foo's

There's a glaring issue with HTMX and I'm not sure how it can be resolved gracefully. Other related libraries solved this issue already (Turbo and Turbolinks). However, HTMX only returns HTML fragments and doesn't track head

It's nice to see improvements to Ruby, but the hype around a ~13% performance boost feels... weird. It looks like a big leap, but when you compare the actual speed to _any_ other language you realize Ruby still has many, many percent t

Only if you self host or proxy all of the tracking requests. Otherwise, the tracking will occur but get trapped in the browser. The moment your code tries to send the request to hotjar or any other domain, it's blocked.

I log traffic. I use log rotate with a 30 day rotation. No one can complain because it's gone within a GDPR compliant window of 30 days.

Instead of the simple Ruby script, I think GoAccess is better. It's a simple command line tool available in nearly all package managers. You can simply pipe your logs to it and get an ncurses based summary of the site. zcat /var&#

True-- but a regular job you may work 40-50 hours a week and have many other benefits (like health insurance, and so on). Most people making games (especially on their own) put in far more hours, zero benefits and a lot less money. I have n

The problem I have with this is $500/month is a lot more than $500 per-month. Hear me out. If Steam is taking 30% and uncle Sam is taking 35%, $500 is really $175. You need to earn roughly $1450 per-month to make around $500 per-month.

I wish there was a "frameworkless" version. Just include the JS/CSS/Font(s) and paste the html and there you go.

Honestly, I default to "it's not worth my time." If something keeps popping up and the answer is, "Damn, I should probably have just read that book." then I get a copy of the book.

I get the need to improve Ruby's speed and memory usage, but there's much to be desired. I really enjoy Rails and Ruby in general, but the performance is terrible. I'd like to see how Ruby 3.3 stacks up to other languages and
