It says "(including memory)". It's pretty natural to read this as "(including the contents of allocated pages)".

The problem with fork isn't really that it's slow. The problem is that if you want it to be not-slow, it locks you into a bunch of OS design decisions: you more or less need a memory subsystem where all writable pages are refcount

Oh, that's much worse! The JSON string `{"a":9007199254740993}` decodes to the object `{"a":9007199254740992}` with typical JSON parsers like JavaScript's `JSON.parse`.

And then you end up with strings on the other side, not numbers.

Completely and utterly irrelevant.

I hate this so much because you can’t nicely serialise a BigInt as JSON. Using a string is nicer but it only makes sense where int64 is used as an ID, not where it’s used as a number; and you don’t wanna have to configure this per field

And even if you don't need WiFi + BLE for a particular project, you may need it for other projects, and it might have value for you to standardise on one ecosystem.

This looks like the long-awaited replacement for the original ESP32. The S and C series have been relatively low performance (the S better than the C but stuck on the outgoing Xtensa architecture), the P4 is powerful but lacks wireless. Thi

Oh and another thing I just learned: it seems like the reason there are so many test suite commits recently is ... Tridge got Claude to rewrite all the tests in Python and delete the old shell test suite: https://github.com/

I think that’s misleading. Yes, almost all commits co-authored by Claude lately are about test suite and CI, but that’s just because almost all commits lately are about test suite and CI. The commits which aren’t test suite and CI are also

I know it works like that, the part about "clicking allow'" was a slight oversimplification which doesn't change the point. Do users understand the security implications of giving access to a device in the pop-up? I don&

Staying one point release behind is weird isn’t it? I get staying a major release behind, Apple’s x.0 releases are often pretty rough so it might be worth staying on x-1 for a while. But point releases mostly just fix the stuff they bro

Please don't pretend I'm turning this into a "political debate". Your position is, "Kagi ought to keep doing business with Russia". That in itself is highly political. No side of this issue is apolitical.
