I should hope so, because it would not exactly fill me with confidence if Apple were the ones exposing config info to the web. Classic rookie mistake.

Yeah. This is why I don't invest -- I don't really see it as investing, I see it as waiting to have your money taken away by someone who is really good at taking money from others.

That acronym in the New York Times would be "I.T.", not "IT".

And people who like to throw around the word "fanboy" said it was because Apple is contemptuous of everyone but themselves and don't care about the environment at all. I wonder the same thing about them.

I guess designers could criticize its visual aesthetic, which is pretty austere, but design is how it works in addition to how it looks. I'd say reddit's devs have shown an interest in improving their interface and making it easier to use o

As far as whether Wall Street is working better than it used to, depends who you ask. But, really, this talk of "elites" tends to put me on edge, because a lot of times it's really about who you define as the elite. I came of age politica

Every piece of Node code I've seen has looked like a giant mess, for the reason you state. I agree, it doesn't have to be this way.

I still can't believe people love that damn thing so much, even after all these years. There are way better tools in my opinion. Of course, if you like it by all means continue using it. But if you think it has anything to do with your tal

I did a Hangout for a work meeting recently, and the audio quality was terrible. I think we had 4 participants, and every time someone said something it would be "reverbed" like a speech in a stadium. It sucked.

That's weird, I thought the standard line on Apple was that they don't innovate, they just take existing product ideas and make them "pretty". And then sheeple like me buy them because we're gullible and stupid.

I was just marveling this morning at how much mental energy is expended on this very thing. Let's just call it the iPad 3 and not worry too much about how closely we match Apple's marketing copy.

Yeah, I have no idea what that remark was about. Apple """"""fanboys"""""" laughing about competent customer service? Huh?

What I discovered is that in many cases, my ability to adapt to a foreign environment without frustration is more important than the benefits of configuring a local environment to suit my whims. YES. That is exactly why endlessly messing

I can't see why they wouldn't do that. It's not like the Google cache offers much utility for Craigslist posts to begin with. Anyway, it doesn't seem right for Padmapper to be doing this, but for god's sake, could people browsing the primar

This isn't a criticism of India. People are reacting that way because they read a few paragraphs and came here to comment because what they read wasn't nice. It's much more balanced than it's being given credit for, because it has the audac

Uh, I was trying to say I work for someone way smaller than IBM and way cooler and who treats their employees way better. The architects aren't really representative of the workplace culture in general.
