Totally agreed. It's a bunch of words about how awesome Weavrs are and calls to action to make them but I still don't know what they actually are . Show some pictures or something.

That describes me very well, except I am definitely not a busy person. I just don't like doing social things -- or rather I get a sort of malaise at the thought of going to them, for exactly the reasons you describe here. I've honestly neve

I also enjoyed this book on the topic: http://www.amazon.com/How-Be-Idle-Loafers-Manifesto/dp/00607...

I believe that work is good for the soul. But being busy is stupid bullshit, as is needing to appear busy to impress others. Other people are too obsessed with themselves to care what you're up to anyway.

Its benefits are vastly outweighed by its negatives for me. I've made things in PHP before but if I ever do it again, it will be too soon. Sounds like a nasty addiction.

I'm trying to go the other way. I'm trying to decompress 20 years of work into 40. I'm not much of one for schleps, I guess.

No offense, but this post illustrates why Steve Jobs was a "product guy" and you aren't.

It's not so much that I disagree with it, as I just get tired of seeing it brought up every single time a blog post has a swear word in it.

Facebook has a feature specifically for this, so that you see every update posted by people on your "VIP" list. I only know this because they put the feature in my face, I didn't go looking for it. Come on.

I remember reading the original post as well. And, man, that could not have ended much better. I'm glad to see that someone at the company realized the potential of what this person created. I would have expected pride to get in the way of

Every time I have tried to meditate I just feel ridiculous and stop. But reading this description of its effects, I really don't understand the benefit.

When I searched for "podcasts apple" it was the very last result. I guess that's noble? At the very least they weren't using their status as the owner of the store to promote their own app, I'll give them that.

I'm glad. The Music app is pretty bad at podcasts.

Yeah. The mismatch between how devs expect to use the ORM, and how the ORM expects to be used, causes enough problems in my experience to make the ORM not worth it in the first place. I'm tired of seeing crazy-long NHibernate stack traces a

That title is hilarious. Compare user experiences before iOS and after. But, these guys made a skin so they're the innovators. OK. And, as ever, what would this article be without the inevitable trotting out of the old "fanboy" chestnut. If

I don't "get" sports. I do not understand the appeal of watching a bunch of dudes run around a field trying to get a ball in a goal. Not to mention all the evidence we've seen of what sports like football and boxing do to the bodies of athl

Why would you use a discussion about spam on reddit to specifically move away from discussing spam on reddit? Honesty, I feel exactly the same way you do about the issue you raise. But it's not germane here.

I think it's great. When I don't have it, I use and recommend Readable, which does about the same thing that Readability used to do except without all the redirect shenanigans. Readable is awesome.

Good for them, glad they're happy. I've read and heard too much to ever go there myself, I think. All I can say is, holler at those people in five years and see how they feel then.
