See Linux as a counter-point to this argument. If your software is good enough, has enough grass-roots support from developers, and has a good/large community around it then companies will bit the bullet and use it despite it being GPL

I also run like this and have had no problems. I don't commonly send emails though (mainly receive) so it is possible that I just haven't sent enough to see the issues.

I use DKIM and have Reverse DNS + SPF and gmail likes my email just fine. However, previous to setting all that up gmail would commonly mark my messages as spam. I haven't tested it in the last few days.

I can agree with that with clojurescript, but I disagree that clojure itself has this problem. Clojurescript -should- be calming down soon. It is in a stage of changing constantly ATM but that should calm down once some of the underlying te

I also read this as just describing how it worked for you, not saying that it didn't work. I guess some changes to the post might help though since people seem to be getting that impression.

I'd imagine that unless you suspect an attack, at that point you'd reset your password and enter it into the keychain: Giving them your new password.

Due to the very nature of government, I don't believe it is possible to have a government that I completely trust. There are different degrees of trust though, and I would like one with a higher degree of trust earned.

The study sounds correct for what it studies. People who keep a gun in their home are more likely to accidentally kill someone else that they already know. That makes sense, since people without one aren't likely to grab a knife and ru

A madman would steal a gun or otherwise obtain a gun illegally. Just like people obtained alcohol illegally during prohibition. I'm not really disagreeing with your main point, just the "it's obvious that would prevent death

Rails does not require a process per a request model. It is great that you had success moving to Go, but you could have moved to a different model with rails and likely solved your problem.

Considering everyone perceives the universe slightly differently, it is perfectly reasonable to say that there are actually N realities where N is the number of things observing the universe. That being said, it is also very true that to ge

The publishers won't agree to such a thing and, as was argued in other parts of this thread, that means for most authors that they just can't do it.

I was unfamiliar with the terms(packers, mappers) you used in your last sentence. Having done a quick read on them, I find the concepts interesting. It looks like at least a couple books talk about these concepts. Where would you recommend

It depends on how obvious you are about it I think. You can ignore the noise of the group (not really process it, or spend time on it) while still pretending to care about it.
