FYI you can run this tool locally, but it cannot save the results locally. It requires Google Drive to upload the data to a spreadsheet. File download/screenshot does support local execution though. Can't schedule locally either,

I'd wager that the firmware came pre-infected by the manufacturer (or an update to the firmware has the infection). Based on the reddit thread at least one of the devices is from a no-name manufacturer. https://www.reddit.co

I used SimpleTax for the first time this year and it's a lot more intuitive than StudioTax which I used in the past. It may not be ideal for every situation, but it was much simpler for me.
