If we are taking power away from the Government (elected by citizens to serve citizens) and putting that power into the hands of a few corporations, we are moving towards corporate fascism. See also: Corporate tax breaks at a time of record

I believe it does invalidate their opinion on abortion when they are using “basic humanity” as their reasoning. Some unrelated example about Einstein and racism doesn’t really address that hypocrisy. Not to mention that this same political

But these same people support a political party that is in favor of capital punishment and against a larger social safety net. Where is the basic humanity in the state murdering someone or a person dying for lack of healthcare?

I find it interesting that politicians increase military spending by $100 billion or we cut future revenue by $1 trillion and nobody bats an eye. Meanwhile, people hem and haw over $50 million to maintain critical infrastructure.

Currently 25th in FIFA rankings (3rd in CONCACAF). Is there any other major men's sport where the US ranks outside the top 20 (maybe cricket)? - 15th in rugby https://www.worldrugby.org/rankings/mru?lang=en - 6th

This is an excellent point at the lower end of this age range. I do still think there is something in the fact that today's tech companies have very high profit-per-employee numbers. This allows them to pay higher skilled workers more

How is it dystopian? We ban kids from doing plenty of things we deem unsafe in the US. We don't let them drive, go to the store alone, drink alcohol, buy guns, get married, buy cigarettes, watch certain movies, play certain video games
