I would love to run this in my homelab with a few users, is there a path for that or do I need a registered company?

I played with this briefly last year but couldn't get it going in the time frame so I gave up. I wanted to like it but it was a bit unwieldy getting started, and I was not a fan of needing helm to bootstrap an installation. There also

This look interesting, is there a way to try out meta without being funneled into the sales pipeline? What is the workflow for baking a machine? Are you using packer under the covers or some other tooling? What on-prem machine image formats

I noticed that as well but in my case it seemed to be due to secure boot being turned off. Annoying nonetheless!

Another option if you don't want to completely disable bitlocker is to simply create a new partition from Windows to allocate the space, then delete it. This will leave an unallocated section which you can use to create the non bitlock

Multipass on Linux does CentOS and any other cloud-init enabled image. It currently does not support this for some reason on macos which really sucks! Hopefully it will eventually. I also want to say that I enjoy using Vagrant as well. It c

All that is missing for me is a active library of machine images like vagrant cloud. That would be amazing!

Right, "multipass find" only lists the curated ubuntu LTS images on macos. Attempting to launch a qcow2 or img on macos shows "launch failed: http and file based images are not supported" which leads back to my original
