If you are focused on arm infrastructure for linux, you can do a lot better than a Mac mini m1, they are limited to 16GB of RAM and booting Linux is experimental at best. Check out something like the solidrun honeycomb lx2 which can take 2

I run the same setup but with esxi as the host OS. It's quite a bit easier to setup since esxi already runs headless by design, as well as easy PCI passthrough configuration via the host client html5 UI

Highly available kubeadm clusters are designed to be upgraded in place. The Kubernetes api-server is also designed to function with a minor version skew (for example v1.19.x and v1.20.x) that would happen during an in-place upgrade. Cluste

You can also achieve the above very easily with kubeadm which is the upstream kubernetes bootstrapper. All it takes: kubeadm init

As others mentioned, just use kind to create a real cluster on demand whenever you need one one. kind create cluster 30 seconds later you will have a fresh cluster to do whatever you want. kind can even do multi-node HA clusters complete wi

Which chromebook do you have? I was recently tinkering with my pixelbook on the dev channel, I believe you can launch kvm vms from the chromeos 'linux subsystem' it's kind of like WSL2 in reverse but with KVM vs hyper-v. Wond

I'm working on a project that allows you to put a special "yaml shebang" at the top of any kubernetes manifest. The shebang is actually valid yaml since it's interpreted as a comment. This allows you to combine the decla

I'm curious what you mean here, since CAPI allows you to manage and scale clusters like any other Kubernetes object. You can literally "kubectl scale --replicas" a cluster control-plane and worker nodes.

You are right about exfat, what about NTFS? I suppose that's the issue though with macos diskutility no supporting NTFS out of the box. Honestly the other suggestion to use ventoy is probably the best option. Such a great utility
