This is out of the question for any normal user and is also not reliable at all. When you install a Jailbreak you are by default giving up on a plethora of apps which do proper checks and they won't work at all even if you try to bypas

Intel already has a fab which makes it's own chips. They can print, their problem is the design process on smaller nodes.

I didn't hear that. This was mostly done because for the higher TDP parts (105W) the box cooler was not enough cooling. They also save a couple of bucks by doing this.

I've been running a 3900x under Linux since release (got it 14.07) without any issues. Support was great day one, but of course you needed a new kernel, not something that was running on your 2010 web server.

They are looking at HEDT parts, they have more pcie lanes, more memory support etc. This isn't about your average joe's `gaming-workstation`.

You need to also take into account that datacenters won't change hardware every cycle release, so Epyc needs more time to gain market share. If you're doubting the value and performance, you must be blind.

Look at your compositor, I've fixed this in KDE by enabling Full Screen Repaints under vsync options.

At the same time you're comparing a HEDT CPU with a regular one so wait for Thread Ripper and check again. They might've slashed prices and they are kind of similar, but they target 2 different categories.

Maybe look into a Clevo machine. For example, the Clevo P775 has 2xM2 2x2.5" slots, similar connectors (missing sim card) and supports up to 64GB of RAM (4 slots). There are other options as well.
