One solution would be to regularly send them an email (maybe once every three months) with the request that to send you their updated information (via email). I wouldn't want the app to send this sort of communication in my name. Would y

I'd love it if Facebook did this. But Facebook don't allow you to sync your FB friends' contact details onto your phone --- it's actually against their TOS for you to automatically extract your friends' contact details from facebook.com. Wo

That means a blank line after most commands' output, and I find that unsightly. Is there any way of getting bash to only output a '\n' if the cursor isn't already at the start of a line?

As one of the comments there says, I'd class his example of destructive criticism as constructive criticism, because it gives clear pointers on how to improve, and why they'd be improvements.

The X in "LaTeX" is not an English X but a Greek X (chi). I can't think of any actual English word where the X is pronounced like that. (But yeah, it's not obvious to me whether "xort" should be pronounced "zort" or "ksort".)

A better style for the (Haskell) "return a list of fibonacci numbers" example would be better_fibs 0 f1 f2 = [] better_fibs n f1 f2 = f1 : better_fibs (n-1) f2 (f1+f2) as this generates the list lazily.

I take it you don't count Template Haskell as being “Lisp-like macros in a statically typed functional programming language”? Could you clarify the important differences between the two, from your point of view?
