Lets assume that humans are complex molecular machines. That is our bodies obey the laws of physics and are made of atoms that behave in predictable ways. If we know what we are made of (the molecules and how they are arranged) and how thes

The problem is that they can get away with it. That is the cell phone market has very little competition.

I liked homebrew until I needed pygtk. I don't know of any good way to install that but with macports and boy is it a pain to install without a package manager. And once I needed macports. I also like to have a recent version of gcc. This a

Pretty cool. I'd like a simple editor that worked like this as a desktop application. I also noticed that code blocks don't seem to work properly: http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/syntax#precode

I learned vim's movement keys by playing nethack on a laptop without a number pad. This is a very fun way to learn hjkl. It also punishes you quickly if you make a mistake.

What would be the best way to interface a 2.5" hard drive with one of these? A USB to sata controller? That seems bulky if you want to have it in one case. I'd like to find a compact way to add some storage to the device as I am interested

This is another great solution. As a vim user I haven't much looked into the emacs keybindings in readline. I'll have to read up. Also the terminology was a little confusing. I didn't realize that killing a line was the same as "cutting".

Sometimes I find myself typing out a long command and then deciding that I don't want to run it quite yet. Normally I just hit C-c run some other command first and then copy paste the long command. Surely there is someway to put the long co
