>“He kept maintaining it was a clock, but there was no broader explanation." Did it really need a broader explanation? It's a clock.

I really enjoyed The Eye of the World. I can't wait to start book 2. I have heard the series slows down considerably later on.But so far I love it.

I just bought that book and will be starting it tomorrow. I am finishing up The Eye of the World - Robert Jordan today. My wife loved it (she reads a lot faster than me).

Franklin/Nashville area is pretty nice. The prices are very cheap and the tech scene is emerging. The people are super friendly too.

I like that the guy's solution was to basically call the college and call Verizon. I feel like she could have done the same.

I kind of like Zencastr over Zencaster. But I am not really the target audience. Just thought I should mention it though.

I definitely see the benefit, because I can ignore all other posts. But when the topic or thread gets big, it just gets overwhelming for me. But I guess that can be the case either way.

Yeah the stagger comments kind of bother me personally and make it hard for me to follow. I like flat comments. But I think that is because that is what I am used to on the forums I frequent.

Sweet thanks for the heads up. I love buying books. I also love reading, so they don't go to waste.

I haven't found anything I wanted. I mean there are great deals, but nothing I am interested in. To be fair I am only really interested in buying cheap books.

I am working on a habit building app in Meteor. It's really an excuse to get my hands dirty with Meteor, which I am loving.

My new manager just admitted to me a couple weeks back that my old manager (who is his manager now) straight up lied to me to get me in the door. He lied about how quickly my salary would increase. They told me that every six months salary

When I used to process credit cards for MetLife it would always error out if I messed up the name or address. This was only about a year ago. I forgot what system we were using, but just thought I would mention it.

Ramping someone up costs a lot of money. So they don't want to waste it on someone who is only going to stay for a year or less.

Wow that sounds awful. I don't think I could handle that to be honest. I don't do any paperwork at my work. But I am still fairly junior here. But our managers would handle all that paperwork either way.

Ruby on Rails is a good place to start. Ruby is a very human readable language and you can do some pretty cool things quickly using Rails.
