Several such APIs include the equivalent data for US markets in their free tier, for personal use.

I spent the entire day yesterday trying to set up some automated monitoring of my investments, only to discover most UK market information is locked behind stupid-money APIs. Anything that improves that situation is a positive.

Disclaimer: not a parent, as will soon become apparent. Several people have made the argument that individual parents can't simply cut their children off from social media, as said offspring may be ostracised (or simply look at their f

I apologise if using words correctly is obvious and lame. GP is explicitly criticising the language in the lede as being unsuitably vague, hence my reply. As to the goal of the article, I fail to see what is dishonourable about comparing LL

I think you've misunderstood the purpose of a lead (sic). Per Merriam-Webster [^1], a lede is: > the introductory section of a news story that is intended to entice the reader to read the full story (Emphasis mine) You may prefer

I don't think it's reasonable to judge Conventional Commits on something it doesn't claim to do. I can't see any suggestion on the CC site [^1] that it "solve[s] the core issue of the poor commit messages problem.&q

I've found Cosmic to be rather flaky, sadly (I'm rooting for it to succeed), so the latency issues may not have been Wayland-related. Both KDE and GNOME seem to run very smoothly on Wayland.

I've found the built-in clipboard manager on KDE Plasma 6 to be very reliable. When I used GNOME, the Clipboard Indicator extension [1] served me well. [1] https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/779/clipboard-

Not my area of expertise, but this article appears to completely ignore several factors which were true when I was growing up as a leftie in 1970s UK (admittedly some time ago): 1. Some schools actively punished children for writing left-ha
