It was very confusing, and for a while there every team inside Microsoft started adding .NET to their name for some internal visibility points regardless of any connection with the common language runtime. That's how you ended up with

The 6502 has T states at least breaking instructions on memory access boundaries.

Gate Elements are multiple transistors. And that count doesn't include SERV's register file.

The area of just the register file (even for rv32e) is higher area than the survivors of the 8 bit ucontrollers.

Except all of their previous developer kits have been about the same cost as the consumer version. Intel DTK - $999 Apple Silicon DTK - $500 iPhone - No DTK, just released without third party native apps at all. That combined with how Apple

There isn't one custom protocol. 360 used wireless USB. Xbox One on uses Bluetooth.

Apple has released dev kits before. Most recently the apple silicon devkits. Those have pretty much universally been explicit and have come with a requirement to return the devkits once consumer hardware capable of being development hardw

Nice, I was just building my own board to program classic GALs, PALs, and PLDs. I'll just get this board and contribute code.

I mean, LionOS appears to (with the exception of sel4 itself) be mainly written in unverified C without heavy static analysis. So LionOS and Genode appear to be about equal in that regard.

I know what they meant. My point is that the uses of the term at as disparate as they're making it. You would be sued under trade secret law if you intentionally leaked them.

Well except the sharing memory part. Linux added memfds but macos doesn't have that. I imagine on macos you'd have to use the mach APIs if you're avoiding shm.

If they can sell the board with more RAM for more than their extra RAM costs, or can sell more GPUs total but the RAM itself is priced essentially at cost, then it's not a cost center.
