What are the types of tests you’d need to write in a statically-typed language that are more complicated than their dynamically-typed counterparts?

Cypress.io has chainable .then functions but they are not await-able and the documentation clearly states they are not promises and cannot be treated as such. It’s a bad idea, but it is out there.

I don’t think you need to argue that fax is not technically secure on HN. Pretty sure we are all on the same page there. What matters is legal precedent and existing policy in various countries.

And (if I understand the workflow correctly) you wouldn’t be able to test on your local at all... cross your fingers that your patch doesn’t break something!

A guess: it’s probably just heuristics based on things being panic-bought, high demand, suddenly high number of searches, etc. Obviously they don’t “know” some subset of essential items, that would be difficult, error-prone, and they would

Do packages really count? You could go on for a long time listing applications that have packages or plugins, but I think it misses the point of the question.

I tried to find a source to back up what you’re saying about hiQ “snitching” to employers about employees searching for jobs, but all I can find is vague documentation about the legal suit hiQ v. LinkedIn. Do you have a link to an article o

I would not compare those two because I don’t even have any type of disk player in my house. My only comparison is Netflix vs Netflix. My point is, you’re saying nobody would notice the quality difference if Netflix lowered their quality. I

In practice, “high tolerance” is used to mean “tight tolerance”. “Tight” is more commonly heard, at least in the US.
