I wonder if too much of the workforce would essentially be incapable of getting a new driver's license just if standards were made closer to Germany's. If that's the case, then so long as most of the economy needs tons of rep

Yeah, this seems absolutely like a relevant observation -- it might be massively increasing the number of "empathetic" teachers. To elaborate: Certainly for me as a highschooler, I was bored out of my mind with how easy and mind-n

Very well put, especially about the necessary dis-comfort. I've always personally envisioned some terrible end-state of human history where vast swathes of people are in something more like a zoo than a prison. Without escape, but also

Excellent point that strikes at the essence of this. Already there were valid concerns about hardware backdoors and tampering, and now with such a dramatic event... well I can't exactly say I expect any change, but I do greatly hope

To flip your question around, why are you living right now? I developed a severe intestinal disorder in my 20s. Some people can get it or ones like it in their teens, others their 30s, 40s, 50s, etc. and many won't ever develop such is

You're missing the essence. That those who are desperate and poor can be punished easily, swiftly, harshly, but those who are wealthy tend to avoid punishment and when it even occurs it is with herculean effort, sluggish, and limp. An
