I believe it’s the last one. I use queues more than ever. Almost every AWS architecture diagram will have a queue. SQS is extremely stable, mature and cheap. Integrates with so many services and comes out of the box with good defaults.

I don’t think it’s “loopholes via Turkey” but literally Russian people living in Turkey. They’ve moved there in droves since the draft began.

I use CodeBuild and CodePipeline. I love these products. I use them via CDK so maybe it’s better DX that way.

Can’t speak for the OP. But I knew the guy in Canada selling Polish hot dogs. Apparently he cleared about 150K (20y ago) working half a year. The other half he went to Poland. It’s all about the location. His was right next to a uni busy st

Not me. But maybe this can inspire you. A person I worked with in Canada would go on leave for the winter and operate a snow plow. Then he’d return to a dev job once the snow melted. Mind you this was a low stakes tiny company maintaining s

Just wow. We were in the midst of negotiations with Cloudflare and I’m Going to hard nope after reading this. I’m guessing they aren’t doing that well and are looking for revenue to cover the holes.

I’m not sure which country you are from. But not in every country you get a “service” from a bank. I know in Canada banks are terrible (oligopolies) and the UIs are from the early 2000s with insanely bad security practices, like 4 digit pas

Amazon Q is good with docs too. Bad at most other things though. I like the VS Code chat integration. Very quick to access in the moment.

Maps is a pretty app. That’s what Apple is good at. But the backend is just plain bad. Searching for common landmarks nearby provides suggestions from 1000s of km away.

Google results are just terrible and entirely corrupt from all sides. Everything from the bottom up is pay to play. From affiliate SEO spammers to Google back room deals with big players. I’ve been a happy Kagi user for a year now. Never go

I agree in principle. But the Apple example is a bad one. Because Apple was showing country specific language variations. E.g. English (Canada) had a Canadian flag. Which for Canadians would be easy to spot as everyone knows perfectly well

Look into projen. It’s not as heavy and doesn’t require any services. But makes it easy to template and spin up projects. But the key is that templates are living and updatable. If you want an intro and a free consultation reach out via ema

Yes, and it’s not just poking. You have to actually code lots of stuff from scratch and maintain it. Feels like you almost need a full time person maintaining it.

Maybe Türkiye? I’d prefer Dubai over Türkiye for Asia <-> Europe trips. Türkiye had a bet a few years ago too and built a massive airport in hope to steal some of the show from Heathrow.

Tap water at a restaurant might be free. I’ve seen bottled water for €1 for 0.5L while 0.75 of wine is €0.95 at the same store. Cans of Coke Zero are typically about €1 too at retail prices.

I’m tired of the Canadian government scape goating the grocery stores. They aren’t saints, for sure. But these are minor issues. If the margin on butter was 50% then I’d not be looking at individual grocer, but rather look for signs of coll

Stop building restaurants with foundations and secure access. Here’s a plan for building a food cart for serving your first 1000 customers. Yes, this might be a viable option for some use cases. In fact in Thailand and other SEA countries m
