It’s probably not for singing but for talking on the phone. Even blue tooth talking definitely distracts.

Yes, that's my ideal, but I use TS :)

This is very nice and something I’ve been looking for for a while. Any chance icons can be included? I want to design AWS diagrams and use service logos.

Wholly agree with you. I’ve been using both professionally for years in parallel and have seen the evolution. Totally agree on CI being superior. The config syntax is a bit of a pain and is aching for some higher level abstraction. But it’s

I think AWS should buy it. Given they just deprecated CodeCommit.

No, not necessary at all. You can write queries and CTEs and create views in Athena/Glue by hand, if that’s what you prefer.

An easy to maintain stack from my experience that almost anyone can do: - S3 for storage - Glue catalog to describe / define source data shapes - Athena to query the above - dbt for business data modelling (has Athena and glue adapter)

In some countries this is already starting to happen. For example, in Spain, cameras and camcorders installed in private spaces cannot capture images of public spaces unless it is indispensable for the intended surveillance purpose or unavo

For me AWS CDK is the biggest differentiator between AWS and every other cloud. Once you go true IaC there’s no way back.

If anyone here is into these kinds of tomatoes, and is around the region - there’ll be a tomatoe fest and a tasting competition in the north of Portugal. https://www.facebook.com/TomateDouro

They aren’t turning it off to existing customers though. So you have plenty of time to migrate.

Could’ve said the same thing about margarine. It’s made from vegetable oil, which is made from vegetables after all. What could go wrong?

That’s the original margarine that was actually made from decent ingredients like beef tallow. No one knows this nor refers to that as margarine in the current age. The margarine as we know it today was invented later, in the 20th century a

It wasn’t always popular. In fact it took tremendous effort of public deception, corruption and lobbying to make margarine a staple today. But I’m sure Gates has pockets deep enough to repeat that.

AWS really feels they were left behind so they are overcorrecting a bit. In private they are truly thirsty for AI applications they can write uses cases on that they even offer upwards of 100K credits for Gen AI purposes only.

I highly doubt it’s foreigners to be honest. I live in a plain Portuguese neighborhood of Porto. There are virtually no foreigners. At least I never see any when walking around or going to a grocery store. I maybe see one a day out of 100s

It’s absolutely not true. I spoke to a very well informed and educated tax lawyer on this topic. The majority of taxes collected in Portugal come from VAT and not income taxes. Something like 30% of working Portuguese people don’t pay any t

What I noticed in south Europe at least is that food in small quick restaurants is cheaper and way better quality than fast food. It naturally forces people to make good choices. For example, in Portugal a McDonald’s meal is about €12. Mean
