This was addressed in the article. It states "The outcome is fairly robust in the sense that it's relatively insensitive to deviations from it, say, because of couples or families being seated together." During ticket purchase, families cou

Consider Webby and Jekyll as descendents of a common ancestor idea. They share many things in common but are adapting to different needs. Most importantly, because Jekyll is restricted to Liquid for scriptability, it is safe to run server-s

I'm the author of Jekyll and cofounder of GitHub. This is a great review of Jekyll in its infancy. We're using Jekyll as part of the GitHub Pages stack, and because Jekyll is a very young project, we're giving our customers a chance to shap

Agreed. Making a living with Haskell may be difficult in the world that we live in, but doing so with Python should not pose a serious challenge. There are still plenty of jobs out there for talented coders, but you'll always be stuck at th

I'm not sure what your popularity metric is, but here at GitHub we're making plenty of money on subscriptions for private code hosting without a single advertisement on the site. We've also never taken any outside money. GitHub was designed

Awesome. The other thing, and I expect you have this in mind already, is that if I were to buy one, I'd want a thinner more modern bezel instead of a picture-framey one. Are you planning to make different styles/colors available in the futu

I'm not that interested in the photo sharing side of the Picwing, but it looks like this could become a pretty badass little device for all sorts of networked display/control applications. Will the OS or API be open for hackers to develop a

GitHub is totally free and unrestricted for public code. This should give you plenty of freedom to try out the service without paying. Also, as a promotion for Cyber Monday, new signups today (12/1) can get a paid plan free for one month.

I wasn't shocked at all. My favorite thing about HN is the community and the discussion that goes on here. I don't have comments on my blog for a reason, and it is precisely so that I don't have to deal with anonymous trolls that don't thin
