The image at the top says it's a Supermicro B1DRi. I wonder if this is an actual infected board or if it's just for illustration purposes.

You can just buy counterfeit anti-tamper stickers but if there is a switch inside the unit that flips a bit in some sort of write-once memory, then that would require removal of an entire chip and replacing it with another that may not be 1

Why design and fly such a huge yacht of a lander when you could use a dinghy to bring in supplies to build a shelter that can withstand more than two weeks of use? Inflatable structures could be landed and assembled autonomously before astr

I'm guessing for many people an Amazon warehouse job is stable employment near their small town that might not have many opportunities otherwise. Lots of small towns on this list and I can't imagine all of them had a booming econo

That case is a little out there, I've never met an non-pe engineer that has ever gotten in trouble for doing engineering. I think PE certifications are fine in cases where there is one guy having the final say on a massive project that

Going through a company like MOSIS is the best bet for university research. You get access to modern processes and reduced cost by sharing a wafer. Running your own out of date fab is dumb and expensive. One of the cheapest processes they h

AX.25 has no FEC but there is FX.25 which is an encapsulation of the AX.25 packet with a preamble at the front and reed soloman at the end. But the issue is the speed of AX.25, 1200baud is dreadfully slow to be adding much onto the packet.

You can run just about anything over AX.25 since it's just the data link layer in the OSI model. You could run HTTP on top of IP on top of AX.25 with TLS/SSL message encryption turned off so you don't run afoul of FCC rules.

Yep, write all of your lower level components in C to run on PICs (or HDL on FPGAs, either way you get high reliability) and have those interface with larger systems that run higher level software to display sensor data and offer a control
