Worth noting is that OpenVPN’s TCP TLS mode does not work that way. It’s essentially the UDP protocol messages except wrapped into TCP. The initial handshake is not a normal TLS client hello. Not sure about other SSL VPNs.

This kind of presumes you're just cranking out inference non-stop 24/7 to get the estimated price, right? Or am I misreading this? In reality, presumably they have to support fast inference even during peak usage times, but then t

Well I mean there's no inherent requirement that PKI work the way it does. We've mostly just accepted it because it's good enough. Even if your server admins fully understand TLS, there are still issues like clock skew on cli

I don't know about OP but I've also worked plenty of places where I seem to be the only person who understands TLS. And not even at the "math" level. I mean, like, how to get them into a Java keystore. Or how to get Apac

Even that came after "AI is going to make itself smarter so fast that it's inevitably going to kill us all and must be regulated" talk ended. Remember when that was the big issue? Haven't heard about that in a while.

I agree, though honestly at this point I'm a little more cynical. I'm open to seeing the best that anyone can get these things to do regardless of cost.

I think the harms of expensive and/or limited and/or inconvenient access to even basic medical expert Q&A are far greater. Though they're not as easy to measure.

I continue to be surprised that LLM providers haven't been legally cudgeled into neutering the models from ever giving anything that can be construed as medical advice. I'm glad--I think LLMs are looking quite promising for medica

"Deal with" and "autonomously" are doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Cursor already does a pretty good job indexing all the files in a code base in a way that lets it ask questions and get answers pretty quickly. It&#x

And even then: the key value of MCP is that it's "simplified." Few servers are implementing anything you couldn't already do for years with their REST APIs. And why? Because it dumbs it down to the point that the LLM can
