We'll never have a perfect way to measure merit, but that doesn't justify the status quo. It would likely reject both students for a third student that checks the right intersectional boxes, even if coming from a more privileged u

And presumably you need to also trust your third party libraries, unless you're also compiling them from TypeScript. Right? And even if you are--that might also involve ensuring their tsconfig.json is compatibly similar to yours. Other

This has happened at a few gigs for me. Don't forget ballooning infra costs, with no one team being able to be held accountable because one team is managing the platform and the other is writing the code that is run on the platform.

Also weird to leave out which things are versioned things that must be installed, maintained, and upgraded by you (e.g. cert-manager, an ALB controller, the Kubernetes control plane) that do not apply to a Terraform (or CloudFormation)-base

The IaC / knowledge you need to know to use ECS in a way that replaces EC2 + compose is minimal, bordering on negligible. I'd use it on day 1 (over EC2 + compose) just to avoid managing an OS or deployment infrastructure.

Does nobody use Hubitat any more? I'm still using it. Upgraded from the C5 to the C7 a few months ago. I use almost entirely Z-wave devices, and the HomeKit integration built into Hubitat makes it easy to manage them all like native Ho

IMO this is what has been happening in virtually all US cities. The people that stay in them are increasingly in agreement with themselves politically simply because the others leave.
