Couldn't purchase with paypal - first time the paypal site showed a generic "we don't know" error (didn't note it, sorry), the next time after signing in to paypal I got further, but was told that the payment had been rejected and the error

Cute, I like it. My feedback: * I love the streamlined nature - auto-sell duplicate items, auto-equip. There's a couple of little niggles that go against this when moving, such as having to let go of <left> and press it again to col

Paypal payments just aren't working, I tried twice. Might want to look into that. Do you deliberately hide the price on the front page?

Thanks for the summary. I had to disable adblock and go back to see what you meant, though. Seriously, adblock / friends will fix this problem on the entire internet for you!

Both great reads, especially interesting to see the same effect crop up in another field; I wonder if it's actually quite well known...

If there's any interest I'll happily do a more in-depth follow-up post with my specific numbers and scripts. My metrics (bugs fixed, commits made, functions changed) all jumped by roughly a factor of 10. Yes, really.

It seems to take a while to search; are you querying wikipedia each step instead of a DB snapshot?

Have you got any good advice on building passive revenue streams? I for one would love to read more about this; the only people I know doing it are really just putting out MFA pages. Actually creating software and selling it, well that's no

That'd be a very interesting data set. I'd love to explore it too - I'm also sure personalized news feeds are achievable and valuable. PG: why not make an anonymous sample available for us all to play with?

For better or worse I've been working on the same codebase for almost a decade; now whenever I patch the code I've got half an eye on how likely it is that I or someone else could accidentally break this code in the future. If you've got to

The author founded http://buddycloud.com (an open, federated social network) - there was a lot of buzz around its Diaspora integration not so long ago; he already is working towards a (in his view, at least) better future.

The issue isn't the amount of time a post is on the new page for, it's how many people get to see it before it falls off the page. So long as the number of people viewing the new page at any one time increases proportionally to the number o
