No it's definitely wayland. Anydesk shows a big notification that wayland is not supported and rustdesk shows a similar message informing you that wayland support is an alpha feature.

I was surprised by this as well at first but thinking about it, it would make sense when they use an audio codec which is not supported on the target system. In that case the video can still play but the audio can't. I wasn't awar

I am the same. I use osmand and sync the recorded tracks with syncthing to my desktop. Works for me but not comparable to sites like komoote of course.

I prefer the same. It gets even better when youtube starts translating a video only available in your native language to English and you have no way to enable the native language audio.
